Cookie policy
One statistics tool, Google Analytics, and only if you authorise it: until you choose it is not loaded. No advertising pixels, no data passed on.

1. The short version
We use one statistics tool, Google Analytics 4, and only if you authorise it. Until you choose it is not loaded at all: your browser never even contacts Google's servers. There is no Meta pixel, no ad banners, and we pass no data to advertising networks. If you refuse, the site works exactly the same: you lose no features.
2. What gets stored in your browser
The site sets no cookies of its own. It does use two local storage entries, which is a different technology: they stay on your device and are never sent to the server.
| Entry | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| giffi.roma.best | Your best score in the mini-game on the Work page | Until you clear your browser data |
| utopys.consenso | Records your choice about measurement cookies, so we can honour it and stop asking on every page | 6 months, after which you are asked again |
Both are strictly technical: without the first the game forgets your record, without the second the banner would return on every visit. Neither can identify you and neither leaves your device. Under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, tools of this kind need no prior consent.
3. Third-party cookies
No embedded third-party content: no YouTube videos, no Google Maps, no social widgets. The only external resource is the typefaces served by Google Fonts: your browser downloads them and, in doing so, discloses your IP address to Google. Google states that it does not use those requests to profile users and sets no cookies on the fonts domain.
When you submit the contact form the request reaches Formspree, which may set technical cookies needed to protect itself from automated submissions. This happens only on submission, not during ordinary browsing.
If you consent to measurement, Google Analytics 4 sets the cookies below. They are first-party cookies, written on this site's own domain: they tell one visit from another, they do not recognise you elsewhere on the web. We have turned off advertising signals (Google Signals) and ad personalisation, so the data feeds no advertising profile.
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Tells visitors apart | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Keeps the measurement session state | 2 years |
You can withdraw consent at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer: the choice is reset and Analytics stops being loaded. Cookies already set are removed from your browser settings, as described in the next section.
4. How to delete or prevent storage
You can delete anything stored at any time from your browser settings, under site data. Deleting the banner entry brings the banner back on your next visit; deleting the game entry loses your record. Nothing else changes: the site keeps working exactly the same.
- Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data
- Safari — Settings › Privacy › Manage website data
- Firefox — Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
- Edge — Settings › Cookies and site permissions
5. If anything changes
If we ever introduce marketing or advertising profiling tools, this page will be updated before they go live and the banner will offer a separate choice for that category. Today the only thing we ask you to authorise is statistical measurement.
